Comprehensive Eye Exams are very important for our Child's success!

It's that time of year again to think about getting ready for back to school for our kiddos!  Soccer and fall baseball are the themes in the Murphy family household as we step into the next season.

According to the American Optometric Association, "children with uncorrected vision conditions or eye health problems face many barriers in life, academically, socially and athletically."

Our amazing sense of sight is not automatic!  Babies learn to see as they grow, very much like walking, talking and laughing!  The ability to focus, move our eyes and have our eyes learn to coordinate and work together develops from birth and into adolescence!

Babies can generally see 8-10 inches away and his/her world expands as visual resolution expands!  As children grow older, the ability to to zoom in and out, eye teaming, visual resolution (AKA from rudimentary infant vision to high definition vision) and binocular vision continues to develop!

As our child grow, he/she continues to develop and vision changes can occur rapidly!  That is why comprehensive eye exams are a very important part of our child's success!

For us as your eyecare team, it is one of the most rewarding part of our practice to see a child's world grow bigger as he/she can now see across a room!
